The stone house and outbuildings, grouped around a 'Bawn', were standing on
this site 200 years ago.
Builder John Cleary renovated the derelict buildings in 1993, using local
craftsmen, drawing on his rare sensitivity for the vernacular architecture of
his native South Wexford.
In 1997 the
Potters Yard was established by Patricia Howard, an accomplished potter of many years experience, to produce Slipware and to teach her craft to others.
We all welcome you and we hope you will enjoy creating and relaxing at our
atmospheric home.
